Legend
Marvellous, thank you! Very inspiring 👍🏽😀
Sweet!
In which month you climbed ?
What’s with the pretend Scottish accent?
Imagine doing this and then afterwards you notice your gopro had smudges all over the lens and the footage is blury.
Idk
I find this bag hard to use. The rope knots up when you drop it inside the bag and also the bag gets in the way under the tarp when it’s full. Not to mention the bag is on the ground and gets filthy. I prefer the petzl Burrito
El desafío " 🥶💙💧
pshhhhhhh with a rope...
I have a stand up paddle board. I always wanted to have a setup where I do maybe 10K swim, then 10K hike but the paddle board is too heavy to carry for hiking, Maybe this is the solution. I should sell my board and buy this gear instead.
Legend.
brave!
Thanks for sharing.
You might have considered illustrating the 3 different aspects of the Same piece of gear: narrow cam, wide cam and width ways; which works similarly to a stopper. A closer camera view would have been helpful as well.
"His mother is literally holding him back" Ho hum.
had a look into the geology of Helvellyn after Aidan Roberts’ recent ascent of England’s (proposed) hardest boulder, loved the timing of this video
Hi Nathan 👋
Of course, this crag is only improving as time goes on. More routes have been equipped in the last year, hard projects with in situe draws. Truly a class venue, there's surely not many footholds left to snap off before this can be called "bullet hard rock". I know where ill be spending my summer!
Tell me climbers, but this seems more difficult than free soloing…
Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing. Like 👍36
Fascinating video guys ! Been up Helvellyn many times, but didn't know it's history ! Cheers !
Very great work! This video show an amazing mystery not yet resolved today!
Been a few years since I climbed Dream with Mr Reeves. I took in a lot of what was too much to absorb in the handful of pitches we climbed together. Can’t wait to return.
just what i want my life to be hanging on, glued bolts lol no thank you
That's absolutely insane! One thing I didn't get though. As a trail runner I know how much one needs to eat and drink during long runs, water is simply heavy. Did Pete carry it all or was he supported by the crew, camera man? Would absolutely worth giving credits to them then!
I love Wales 🏴 I live in Wales it’s the best 🎉
Sorry Pete.I already did this climb solo in 16 hours 10 years ago. I just never told anyone about it. Signing off #1
A naked mermaid was diving under the sea.
Lets go
3:12 the angle of the sling is less than 60°. Important and I don’t think this was pointed out.
I took the "pony track" yesterday and thought I would die of fear. Made it to the top, but never again. Good video though. :)
took it today, the same feelings
Great idea, looking forward to it.
Camera man not to good....😂
روعه روعه انا بي حوبه انا
Are you aware of this or are you just taking the p*ss Hahaha love this guy
What a guy. There's only one JD legend .
Flight of a life time! SPEACHLESS!!!
I looked up some of this man's climbs as id never heard of him. The routes are super easy...i don't get it
i guess honnold just break this in 12hrs
Brilliant interview with the incredibly modest legend.
If you haul your camp bag you could take you time spend days on it
Wonder if he had a quiet partner , they need to remake it
Genuine question 6 years later, what is the difference between this and what alex honnold did in terms of time, we know honnold did it in just under 24 hours, what is the difference in their climbing styles that promotes the time difference, or is alex just that much "better"? not trying to hate at all
I dintbthink the scene or the standards have jumped like they did back then. The 80s crew were probably the last of the golden era's. What a time to be in that group.
I thought Alex Honnald free climbed this in 4 hours? Or was this done before that historic climb?
free solo is not rope solo
???????
6:24 - why do you advise not to thread through the rings as they are are replaceable and held in position with mallions, lowering ovv on the p hangers directly wears the hanger shortening its life surely?
surfa muito
Probably important to make sure you are showing the use of the ice axe with the strap that leashes it to you belt or pack hip belt. In a self arresting situation, the force can rip that axe right out of your hand and without it leashed to you, your axe is gone.
